I got up to a lot in February! Here’s a recap of the month in photos.
I re-discovered my appreciation for the green spaces in D.C. On the right is the botanic garden; on the left is the Portrait Gallery atrium.
I organized my first community Friday on Valentine’s Day! We went ice skating at the sculpture garden near the National Gallery of Art – the first time for Keyah and the first time in a long time for the rest of us. We had a great time learning and supporting one another!
Last Friday we went to Luther Place, Sara’s work placement, and learned more about homelessness in D.C. We also drew and shared our personal maps of the city. I still have work to do on mine!
To close out the month, I visited my best friend, Abby, in Baltimore. She is there with Bon Secours Volunteer Ministry participating in a similar year of service. Then on Sunday our dear site coordinator, Blair, was ordained! Congratulations, Blair!
