Happy Advent, everyone! Now that we’re moving into what is technically a new year in the church calendar, I thought I’d share a little overview of what I’ve been up to throughout the fall using some photos I’ve taken. Enjoy!
We made sure to cross off seeing the monuments at night the first weekend in DC. We are in a climate emergency. Do what you can to avert it – I’m taking steps like cutting down on plastic usage, shopping second-hand, and taking public transportation. You can also protest and write to your representatives. The inscription on the entrance to the Bonsai Garden at the National Arboretum, one of my favorite places to visit for a peaceful moment. This tiny tree is hundreds of years old and survived the bombing of Hiroshima! Washington National Cathedral Breathtakingly beautiful stained glass and reflections. An accurate representation of our personalities (+ Blair, our site coordinator!) Being silly is what we do best. One morning in November we woke up to a carpet of ginkgo leaves. My housemates made me cake for my birthday! ❤ A Thanksgiving for the ages (from right: Sam, Langley, Jack, Keyah, me. Not pictured: Sara)
